William Clarkson grew up in Auckland and attended Rosmini College. As one of four brothers who represented New Zealand in the 2024 Lacrosse World Cup, William completed his own college recruitment journey, receiving one offer to attend Chestnut Hill College, where he competed in lacrosse for two years. After the COVID-19 outbreak cut his time short, William returned to New Zealand and joined Platform Sports. His goal is to provide student-athletes with more opportunities than he had, ensuring a better recruitment experience.
Guest Speaker - Miguel da Silva
Miguel is a final-year student-athlete at Webber International University in Florida with a powerful story shaped by resilience, adaptability, and a relentless love for the game. Over the past five years, Miguel has competed for four different college soccer programs and three semi-professional summer league clubs across the U.S. experiences that have shaped him into more than just an athlete. In his freshman year, Miguel earned NJCAA All-American honours and ranked as the third-highest goal scorer in NJCAA Division 1. But his journey hasn’t been all highlight reels, he’s faced transfers, setbacks, and challenges that tested his mindset and motivation. Now, Miguel is passionate about giving back. He’s partnered with Platform Sports to help the next generation of athletes better navigate the highs and lows of the U.S. college system. From understanding transfer pathways and summer league opportunities to managing injuries and staying mentally strong, Miguel brings real, lived insight that student-athletes and families can truly learn from.
