Josh Tufino

Host: Josh Tufino

Joshua Tufino is a Canadian-born soccer player and professional DJ based in Australia. Originally from Toronto, he played NCAA Division I soccer at Niagara University in the U.S., where he spent six years with the men’s program and served as team captain. Joshua holds the program record for most appearances with 76 games, including starting all 18 matches in his final season in 2021. After earning his degree in marketing, he moved to Australia and currently competes in the National Premier Leagues (NPL) Queensland with Redlands United FC, continuing his passion for the game.

Do we need to have elite times or rankings to be considered?

Not necessarily. We’ll explain the different levels of college competition (Division 1, Division 2, NAIA, JUCO) and how there are opportunities for a wide range of athletes—not just national champions.

Will you explain the academic requirements too?

Yes, absolutely. We’ll cover GPA, SAT/ACT requirements (if needed), and how academics play a role in the recruitment and scholarship process.
